How do I get the products to you? Can you come to me?
Most clients ship their product to our studio location in Emeryville, California or we can also plan to come to pick it up or shoot on location at your offices.
Can you cut out / remove the background (deep etch)?
Yes. We will prep your images, so they are ideal for print and web / graphic designers.
How long will it take?
It depends on the project. Once we learn more about the specifics we will be upfront about the timeline and will work around your schedule. We also offer an express service for an additional fee.
My images need to be specific type, size and other specifications
No problem. We will prep the images to fit the format, size and any other specification you need. We can also provide our thoughts if you are unsure about what you might need.
How much does commercial photography cost?
It depends on the project and product, what level of retouching is required, how many images you need, are props needed or a set built, are we shooting in a studio or on location?
Some clients invest $1,000 and others as much as $20,000. We can’t say without knowing what you need. We focus on quality (not volume). If you want high quality images, get in touch for a quote.
How does it work?
A: We start by going over your vision and specifying goals for the project. Then you send or drop off your products at our Emeryville studio – or we can come to you.
B: The shoot is scheduled. You are welcome to join for the shoot.
C: Post-production is next. Each image goes through a process of up to 50+ adjustments that include: enhancing the details, enriching colors, retouching dust and blemishes, improving contrast, sharpening and others to get to the perfect image.
D: Proof images are sent to you to review and mark for amendments, if necessary. We can deliver the images in the format you are looking for. Your products are returned or picked up.
Can I be there at the photoshoot?
Yes. For simple, catalog product photography (product on white background) 90% of our clients are happy to let us do our thing and save 2-8hrs of their life.
For more complicated, creative shoots, it’s better if you’re present so you can provide feedback as we shoot and tweak things live.

What are my rights to the images?
Standard license will be for use on your company’s website, social media pages, event presentation, and marketing materials (direct mail, email promos, etc.) Third party use is not allowed in any way. That means you can’t give the image to anyone else to use in any way or use in any type of media. Unlimited paid advertising licenses are available for an additional fee.
